Hawking said: “The message of this lecture is that black holes ain't as black as they are painted. They are not the eternal prisons they were once thought.
“Things can get out of a black hole both on the outside and possibly to another universe. So if you feel you are in a black hole, don't give up – there's a way out.”
The speech was in front of a crowd of over 400 people at the Royal Institute in London. It was a part of the Reith Lectures.
The Reith Lectures is a series of annual radio lectures given by leading figures of the day, commissioned by the BBC and broadcast on BBC Radio 4 and the BBC World Service.

This mentality towards fighting the good fight, specifically when it comes to depression is really the whole point of my blog. I use to try to encourage my mom this way, just wasn't always consistent and confident with my message.
He's spot on though. Climbing out of what can feel like a never ending abyss is NEVER impossible. YOU are the only one who makes it seem impossible. YOU alone have the control over whether things change or not. YOU need to make the changes to climb back out.
Trust me when I say, it is possible AND YOU can do it. Learn to let the positive in and the strength, motivation and desire will come.
I highly recommend clicking over to the article. Reading it while reminding yourself of WHO Stephen Hawking is and the things he's dealt with most of his life YET these are the words that he speaks......PROFOUND.
AMAZING.
